Our current waiting times are 2 weeks for a check-up, and 4 weeks for treatment. Certain times of the day are more popular and you may have to be prepared to wait longer for these.
-
Will I get a reminder of my appointment time?
If you request it, we will always send a confirmation text message to the mobile phone that you nominate. Please ensure that if you change your number you let our reception team know.
-
I have missed my appointment, what happens next?
Please contact the surgery as soon possible and we will try and rearrange it for you. However, if you repeatedly miss your appointments we may not be able to offer you another one.
Please see our our policy on missed/cancelled appointments.
-
Can I choose my dentist?
You may certainly request to see a particular dentist but we may not be able to guarantee an appointment if that dentist is very busy.
-
Will my treatment hurt?
We understand your anxiety and will try to make your treatment as pain free as possible. We always take our time and can even use a gel to numb the gum before we place any local anaesthetic. This is extremely effective at stopping any pain.
-
I am a very nervous/frightened patient.
We are very happy to see you and will try and do our best to put you at ease.
Most nervous patients just require extra time and empathy to be able to complete their treatment. Unfortunately DentalCare Seaton Carew is no longer able to provide conscious sedation for any dental treatment. Patients requiring this service will be referred to a local provider. This is currently Grace Dental, North Tees Hospital, Stockton on Tees. More information on this consultant led service can be found at www.gracedentalcare.co.uk.
